Conclusions

  1. 1.

The IR spectra of O,O-dialkylα-hydroxy-β-nitroalkyl phosphonates indicate the formation in the solid state of intermolecular H-bonds, which are formed by the OH and P=O groups.

  2. 2.

Equilibrium of the free and associated molecules of the phosphonates is established in solutions.
