Conclusions

  1. 1.

A calculation was performed and an interpretation was given for the vibrational spectra of methyl thiocyanate and deuteromethyl thiocyanate.

  2. 2.

The change observed in the force field of the SCN group in comparison with the force field of the thiocyanate ion is in full agreement with the hypotheses advanced earlier.
