Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The reaction of chromium hexacarbonyl with a number of substituted aryl compounds of mercury gaveπ-complexes of the type: [(CO)3Cr.-ZC6H4]2Hg, Z=(CH3)2N, CH3O, CH3, H, F.

     
  2. 2.

    Based on the data of the IR spectra, for the obtained compounds the donor strength of the substituents decreases in the order: (CH3)2N>CH3O>CH3>H>F.

     
  3. 3.

    It was shown that the substituents in the aryl compounds of mercury affect the rate of reaction with chromium hexacarbonyl, the yield, and the thermal stability of the formed compounds.
