Conclusions
-
1.
The nature of the metal and the solvent has an important effect on the kinetics of the reaction of the anion-radicals of benzophenone and perylene with tert-butyl chloride.
-
2.
The changes in the reactivity of the anion-radicals is related to the character of the ion pairs formed by the anion with the cation.
