Valence vibrations of the NO groups and ESR spectra of nitrosyl complexes of iron and chromium

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

The values of the frequencies of the valence vibrations of the NO groups were found for a number of nitrosyl paramagnetic complexes of iron and chromium.

  2. 2.

The NO group is coordinated with the central metal atom in the form of a cation.

  3. 3.

A distinct correspondence was established between the parameters of the ESR and IR spectra and the peculiarities of the electronic structure of the complexes studied.
