Acylation of enolic esters with cationoid complexes

Conclusions

A new and convenient method was proposed for the synthesis ofβ-diketones by the acylation of enol acetates with acyl fluoborates. The method does not involve either acid or alkaline catalysis and makes it possible to run the acylation at low temperatures.
