Conclusions
Employing a number of chemical transformations, as well as the IR and NMR spectra, we corroborated the anti-cis-configuration for the 3-methyl ether of 14β-hydroxy-9(11)-dehydro-8α-D-homoestrone, which was proposed previously on the basis of the mass-spectrometric fission data.
