Reaction of phenyl derivatives of metal carbonyls of molybdenum and tungsten with triphenylphosphine and triphenyl phosphite

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

Depending on the conditions, the following reactions take place when the phenyl derivatives of the Mo and W cyclopentadienyl carbonyls are reacted with P(C6H5)3 and P(OC6H5)3: replacement of CO, insertion of CO, and replacement of the cyclopentadienyl and phenyl rings.

  2. 2.

Only exchange by phosphorus ligands was observed for the phosphorus-containing complexes.
