Conclusions

The adsorption of mixtures of benzene and trimethylpentane vapors on graphitized carbon black was measured. For this system the adsorption solutions in the monomolecular region are ideal, and therefore adsorption equilibrium of the mixture of vapors can be calculated according to the method of the “ideal adsorption solution.”

A method of calculating the adsorption equilibrium in the polymolecular region (at large values of the summary adsorption) according to the individual adsorption isotherms and the phase diagram of the volume solution is indicated.
