Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Mixtures of salts of copper with N-substituted anilines are inhibitors of oxidation. The effectiveness of inhibition increases in the series aniline<monomethylaniline<diethylaniline.

     
  2. 2.

    Inhibition is accomplished by complex compounds of copper with anilines and their conversion products.

     
  3. 3.

    The mechanism of the action of mixtures of copper salts with aniline in oxidation reactions is discussed.
