Conclusions

  1. 1.

A study was made of the polymerization of 1,8-nonadiyne on the catalytic system A1(C2H5)3-TiCl4.

  2. 2.

The polymeric derivatives of a trisubstituted benzene that are formed during the polycyclotrimerization of 1,8-nonadiyne lead to the formation of soluble polycyclophanes as the result of subsequent intramolecular cyclotrimerization of the triple bonds, and to the formation of insoluble products by intermolecular crosslinking.
