Reaction of α,β-dibromopropionitrile with sodium diethyl phosphite

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The reaction ofα,β-dibromopropionitrile with sodium diethyl phosphite in a l∶2 ratio proceeds with the formation ofβ-diethylphosphonopropionitrile.

  2. 2.

    The methyl ester ofα,β-dibromopropionic acid reacts with sodium diethyl phosphite in a 1∶2 ratio with the formation of the methyl ester ofβ-diethylphosphonopropionic acid.
