Conclusions
-
1.
The rates of the reactions for the isotopic exchange of hydrogen of the m-isomers of carbaarsaborane and carbaphosphaborane with ethanol, when catalyzed by sodium alcoholate, and with liquid ammonia, were measured.
-
2.
The kinetic acidity of the methine groups increases in the order: m-carborane < m-carbaarsaborane < m-carbaphosphaborane, which is in agreement with the data that characterize the electron-deficiency of the quasiaromatic systems of the mentioned compounds.
