Conclusions

The corresponding derivatives were synthesized by the ammonolysis of someα,ω-dichloromethyl-phenylsiloxanes with liquid ammonia and the aminolysis of 1,3-diphenyltetrachlorodisiloxane and 1,3,5-triphenylpentachlorotrisiloxane, and a study was made of some of their properties and the IR spectra.

The noncatalytic polycondensation of the synthesized polyaminophenyl(methyl)siloxanes corresponds to a first-order reaction. The reaction rate constants were calculated.

The polycondensation ofα,ω-diaminomethylphenylsiloxanes is accompanied by cyclization with the formation of polymethylphenylcyclosiloxazanes.
