Conclusions
-
1.
A study was made of the distribution of the principal components of “sea” water in the solid phase during the directed crystallization of the solution.
-
2.
The distribution of the components in the solid phase when they are mutually present is determined by the total concentration, and not by the concentration of the component, i.e., all of the components, independent of the concentration of each component, have practically the same partition coefficient.
-
3.
The value of the partition coefficient of the salts is practically constant when the crystallization rates range from approximately 0.4 to 1.8 cm/h. Mixing has little effect on the partition coefficient in this range.
