Conclusions
-
1.
The catalytic action of polyazopolyarenes is importantly dependent on the presence and the amounts of azoxy groups in them.
-
2.
Polyazopolyarenes apparently cause an accelerated decomposition of cumene hydroperoxide (either present in the starting cumene, or formed during the reaction process), as a result of which the number of radicals, initiating oxidation, is sharply increased.
