Study of the catalytic action of polyazopolyarenes containing dialkyl(aralkyl)amino groups in the liquid-phase oxidation of cumene

Conclusions

  1. 1.

The catalytic action of polyazopolyarenes is importantly dependent on the presence and the amounts of azoxy groups in them.

  2. 2.

Polyazopolyarenes apparently cause an accelerated decomposition of cumene hydroperoxide (either present in the starting cumene, or formed during the reaction process), as a result of which the number of radicals, initiating oxidation, is sharply increased.
