Conclusions
-
1.
Alkylation at the germanium atom, without rupture of the Fe-Ge bond, occurs when CH3MgI or C2H5MgBr is reacted withπ-C5H5(CO)2FeGeCl3.
-
2.
Together with the alkylation products, the formation of germanes of general formula [π-C5H5(CO)2·Fe-GeR2]2 was detected, the yield of which depends on the reaction temperature.
