Conclusions

  1. 1.

    A study was made of the reaction of tetraphenylmethylenediphosphine di(N-phenylimine) (I) and its metal derivatives with CH3I.

     
  2. 2.

    Only the monomethiodide is formed when diimine (I) is reacted with CH3I.
