Correlation analysis and UV spectra of polyene aldehydes

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    We determined the principal absorption maxima for polyene aldehydes of type R(CH=CH)nCHO and p-RC6H4(CH=CH)nCHO.

  2. 2.

    A correlation analysis was made of the obtained data and the transmission factors π′ were found for one (0.85), two (0.75), and three (0.62) double bonds for the excited nonreacting molecule.
