Conclusions
-
1.
A general model for solutions of electrolytes, assuming the accommodation of ions and hydrate complexes in solution with the formation of interstitial and substitutional structures based on the structure of water, is discussed.
-
2.
Theoretical dependences describing the experimental values of the average molar volumes of solutions of a large number of electrolytes were obtained.
-
3.
The principle of the least possible change in the structure of water during the formation of the solution, formulated by Samoilov for dilute solutions of an electrolyte, can be extended to solutions in a broad range of concentrations.
