Conclusions

The tetraethyldiamide of heptylphosphoric acid extracts Zr and Th 90–95% from solutions of HNO3. The curve of the extraction of Sc is characterized by the presence of a minimum at 3.5–8 M HNO3.

Complexes of the following composition pass into the organic phase: Sc(NO3)3·DAHP, Sc(NO3)3 ·2DAHP, Th(NO3)4·2DAHP, and Zr(NO3)4·2DAHP. The conditional extraction constants of the indicated solvates were calculated.

It was established on the basis of the IR spectra that the bond of the metal to DAHP in the extractable complexes is established through the phosphoryl oxygen.
