Conclusions

  1. 1.

    As the result of analyzing the most reliable data for a large number of compounds in various homologous series it was shown that the rule of a linear relation between the density and the refractive index is operative in a homologous series of organic compounds.

     
  2. 2.

    It was established that there exists a common point in the density-refractive index coordinate system for the homologous series under discussion and an interpretation of its physical meaning was given.
