Interaction of dichloromethane with germanium

Conclusions

Methyltrichlorogermane, bis(trichlorogermyl)methane, and Ge-hexachloro-1,3,5-germacyclohexane are formed in good yield from dichloromethane and elementary germanium in a flow-type setup at 380°.
