Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The cyclization of o-carboxybenzylferrocene in the presence of PC15 gave the ferrocene analog of anthrone -Fc-anthrone.

  2. 2.

    The oxidation of Fc-anthrone gave Fc-anthraquinone and Fc-hydroxyanthrone.
