Conclusions

  1. 1.

The interaction of MoOCl3 with monoethyl-, dimethyl-, diethyl-, trimethyl-, and triethylamines was studied.

  2. 2.

The reactions of MoOCl3 with primary and secondary alkylamines are accompanied by solvolysis at the molybdenum-chlorine bonds. Compounds with the composition MoOCl2NHC2H5; MoOCl2N(CH3)2; MoOCl[N(C2H5)2]2. were isolated.

  3. 3.

As a result of the interaction of MoOCl3 with trimethyl- and triethylamines, compounds with the composition: MoOCl3·N(CH3)3 and MoOCl3·N(C2H5)3, respectively, are formed.

  4. 4.

According to the IR spectra, the molybdenum-oxygen bonds in the compounds represent a ⋯Mo··OMoOMoO⋯ chain of increased multiplicity.

  5. 5.

As a result of pyrolysis under vacuum or an inert atmosphere at 500–600°C, all the compounds isolated decompose to molybdenum dioxide.
