Conclusions

The vinyiation of 2,2-dialkyl-4-methylol-1,3-dioxolanes was studied. 2,2-Dipropyl-, 2-ethyl-2-bulyl-, 2,2-diisobutyl-, and 2-methyl-2-tert-butyl-4-vinyloxymethyl-1,3-dioxolanes were produced and characterized.

The hydrolysis and hydrogenation of 2,2-dialkyl-4-vinyloxymethyl-1,3-dioxolanes were conducted. 2,2-Dipropyl-, 2-ethyl-2-butyl-, 2,2-diisobufyl-, and 2-methyl-2-tert-butyl-4-ethoxymethyl-1,3-dioxolanes were produced and characterized.
