Organic and Biological Chemistry

By the action of chloroacetyl derivatives of amino acids and their esters on purine-6-thiol in an aqueous medium in presence of alkaline agents the following substances were obtained: N-[(purin-6-ylthio)acetyl]alanine, N-[(purin-6-ylthio)acetyl]valine, N-[(purin-6-ylthio)acetyl]leucine, 3-phenyl-N-[(purin-6-ylthio)acetyl]alanine, and 3-phenyl-N-[(purm-6-ylthio)acetyl]-β-alanine and their esters.
