    The high activity of fresh silicon-copper alloy for the dehydrochlorination of ethyl chloride was made use of for the purpose of raising the yield of dichlorpethylsilane in the reaction between a silicon-copper alloy and ethyl

    On the basis of the relationships found, a method is proposed for raising the yield of dichloroethylsilane in the continuous synthesis of chloroethylsilanes.
