Summary
-
1.
With amino compounds hexafluoroacetone forms relatively stable gemical amino alcohols, which do not undergo dehydration.
-
2.
A number of special methods were developed for the preparation of hexafluoroacetone imines; these were based on the decomposition of hexafluoro-2,2-propanediamine derivatives.
-
3.
Trifluoroacetaldehyde, 1,1,1-trifluoroacetone, and pentafluoronitroacetone imines were prepared by Staudinger's reaction, and a number of their reactions were studied.
