Summary

  1. 1.

    By the polycondensation of 7-hydroxyheptanoic and of 9-hydroxynonanoic acids with a copolymer of styrene with 7-methacrylamidoheptanoic acid, graft copolymers having known mean-statistical values of graft frequency and length of grafted side chains were obtained.

     
  2. 2.

    A study was made of the relation of the thermomechanical properties, intrinsic viscosities, and Huggins constants of the graft copolymers obtained to the length of the side chains and their nature.
