Conclusions
-
1.
The mechanism of the reaction of the HO2 radical with molecules of saturated and unsatured hydrocarbons and methanol was studied.
-
2.
The HO2 radical reacts with molecules of saturated hydrocarbons with cleavage of the C-C bond and the formation of a carbonyl compound and hydroxyl. All the way up to a temperature of 200°, the reaction of stripping of a H atom is negligible.
-
3.
With molecules of unsaturated hydrocarbons at temperatures up to 200°, the characteristic reaction is addition to the double bond, followed by the formation of a carbonyl compound and an alcohol radical.
-
4.
The main reaction of HO2 with methanol is the formation of H2O2 and a CH2OH radical.
