The reaction ofα-H-Fluorocarboxylic acids with phosphorus pentoxide

Conclusions

Depending on the reaction conditions, fluoroacids containing a hydrogen atom in theα-position to the carboxy group react with phosphorus pentoxide to give either anhydrides or products of their further conversion.
