Conclusions
-
1.
Photoelectrochemical investigations of the anodic solution of iron established a definite interrelationship between the rate of quenching of the photoeffect and the structural changes of the surface; smoothing of the surface in the submicroscale occurs during the appearance of a very slowly quenching photoeffect.
-
2.
It. was hypothesized that the evening out of the surface in the submicroscale and the formation of an oxide film of slowly relaxing electronic states on the surface are interrelated.
