Summary

  1. 1.

The PMR spectra of a series of trisubstituted silanes have been obtained and the resonance signals in the spectra have been compared.

  2. 2.

For silanes of the type (CH3)R1R2SiH constants of spin-spin interaction for the protons of the methyl groups and the protons directly connected to the silicon have been determined to be 3±0.5 Hz.

  3. 3.

The chemical shifts of the methyl protons and also the CH2 protons of the ethyl groups are linearly related to the sum of the Taft polar constants of the other substituents.
