Summary

  1. 1.

    We have studied the reaction of vinyl esters of mono- and dinitrobenzoic acids with hydrazine hydrate, leading to the formation of acid hydrazides.

  2. 2.

    We have found a new reagent for the carboxyl group, 2,4-dinitrobenzoyl hydrazide.
