Summary
-
1.
We have studied the reactivity of a series of stable radicals in reaction with ethyl benzene, determining the preexponents and activation energies.
-
2.
Dianisylazotoxy forms a π-complex with ethyl benzene which has a lowered reactivity.
-
3.
We have made several suggestions as to the possibility of occurrence of a compensation effect in liquid phase radical reactions.
