Summary
-
1.
A new method is proposed for the preparation of CePO4·xH2O (x=1.5–2.0) and basic cerium phosphate 9CePO4-Ce(OH)3 · xH2O (x=22–35) has been synthesized for the first time.
-
2.
We have studied the properties of the synthesized compounds; filterability, compactness, behavior on heating, refractive index, specific gravity, form, solubility product, and solubility in concentrated acids.
