Summary
-
1.
We have studied the reaction of 1,3-dioxolane with SiCl4 and organochlorosilanes. We have isolated and characterized new compounds.
-
2.
The degree of conversion in the series of organochlorosilanes in reaction with 1,3-dioxolane falls with decreasing quantity of chlorine atoms bound to the silicon and with increasing volume of the radicals.
