The synthesis of trialkyl silyl alkoxyacetylenes and α-bromo-Β-trialkyl silyl vinyl ethers

Summary

  1. 1.

    We have synthesized for the first time representatives of a new class of compounds, trialkyl silyl alkoxyacetylenes: trimethyl silyl ethoxyacetylene, trimethyl silyl butoxyacetylene, and triethylsilyl ethoxyacetylene.

  2. 2.

    In the decomposition of the corresponding Grignard complexes α-bromo-Β-trialkyl silyl vinyl ethers are formed.

  3. 3.

    Hydrolysis of α-bromo-Β-trialkyl silyl vinyl ethers leads to formation of the corresponding trialkyl silyl acetates.
