Diene condensation of unsaturated boron compounds

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

The diene condensations of dimethyl 2-propene-1-boronate with cyclopentadiene, hexachlorocyclopenta diene, and 1,2,3,4-tetrachlorocyclopentadiene, and also of dibutyl etheneboronate with hexachlorocyclopentadiene, were carried out.

  2. 2.

The realtive activities of some dienophiles toward hexachlorocyclopentadiene were investigated. 2-Propene-1-and ethene-boronic esters condense more readily with hexachlorocyclopentadiene than other dienophiles do.
