Conclusions
-
1.
An attempt was made to estimate quantitatively the significance of the two sources of selectivity and stereospecificity in the general selectivity of the process of hydrogenation of n-pentynes on Pd, Pt, Rh, and Raney nickel catalysts.
-
2.
The selectivity and stereospecificity of the processes of hydrogenation of n-pentynes with respect to the formation of monoolefins of the expected strucutre, due to adsorption displacement and the mechanism of hydrogenation before desorption of the products formed from the surface of the catalyst were tentatively calculated.
