Summary

  1. 1.

    A convenient method for the synthesis of vitamin B6 analogs is proposed.

     
  2. 2.

    By a confirmatory synthesis further proof is provided of substitution in the 4-position of the pyridine ring in the aminomethylation of 2,6-dialkyl-3-pyridinols.
