Brief Communications

Summary

  1. 1.

The value ofpKα for propyl gallate has been determined by means of ultraviolet spectra to be 7.22 ± 0.05 at 25°.

  2. 2.

From the temperature relationship ofpKα values have been determined for ΔH°, ΔS°, and ΔF° of 7500 cal per mole, −7.7 cal/mole · deg, and 9800 cal/mole, respectively.
