Magnetic moments and molecular-field coefficients for lithium ferrite-aluminates

  • Published:
Soviet Physics Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

Néel's theory is applied to the anomalous temperature dependence of the saturation magnetization σS(T) for polycrystalline materials of composition Li0.5 Fe2.5-x Al x O4 (0 ⩽x ⩽ 1), over the range-196 ° C to the Curie poínt. The molecular-field coefficients are derived for certain compositions. The results are in general agreement with theory.
