Conclusions
The temperature dependence of the resistivity of cerium and lanthanum has been measured. The resistivity has been shown to decrease with increasing purity. The observed hysteresis in the temperature dependence of the resistivity of lanthanum is due to the martensite nature of the β → α conversions.
