Conclusions
The ANO-1 hydrostatic leveler enables one to measure deviations from horizontal in guides of considerable length automatically. A difference from standard optical methods is that the error of measurement is independent of the extent of the object, and the accuracy is the same at any point. The automatic instrument provides not only improved productivity but also better accuracy because of reduction in the measurement time and high sensitivity in the conversion.
