Abstract
A new attachment to the IKS-12 infrared spectrometer is described. It measures the spectral reflection coefficient of loose materials and is based on the hemispherical mirror method. It is shown that the losses of reflected radiation may be allowed for by the introduction of special coefficients. Reflection spectra are reported for sand and soil in the wavelength region 0.7 –15 μ.
