The transfer of heat from a bed of finely dispersed material fluidized by a stream of gas or through application of vibrations

Abstract

We have measured the intensity of the transfer of heat between a bed of finely dispersed material (panicle dimensions <100 μm) and a surface set into the bed. The bed has been fluidized by the filtration of a gas through the bed, or by means of vibration.
