Abstract

We consider heat transfer for the case of laminar flow of an incompressible liquid in the initial portion of a circular tube with a parabolic velocity profile at its entrance. Analytical expressions are obtained for the dependence of the Nusselt number Nu and the resistance coefficientξ Re on the longitudinal coordinate for various laws of heat transfer.
