Natural convection heat transfer in air about a horizontal circular nonisothermal cylinder

Abstract

Results are presented of a numerical investigation of laminar free convection heat transfer in air about a horizontal circular cylinder in the moderate Grashoff number range (104 ⩽ Grm ⩽ 109), for linear and quadratic laws of surface temperature variation.
